HT4. Rick Harrison breaks silence after sonā€™s sudden death at 39 ā€“ confirms the tragic truth

Following the sudden and tragic passing of Rick Harrisonā€™s son, Adam, theĀ Pawn Shopā€™sĀ star breaks silence posting a heartfelt tribute to Instagram.

Adam, 39, died of overdose in Las Vegas on Friday, leaving his family utterly devastated and shocked.

ā€œYou will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.Ā šŸ’”,ā€ Rick wrote alongside aĀ photoĀ of himself smiling with Adam at a bar.

Previously, a representative of the family, Laura Herlovich, confirmed Adamā€™s death to theĀ Las Vegas Review-Journal.

ā€œOur family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss,ā€ the statement read.

Speaking toĀ Fox News Digital,Ā Rick revealed the exact cause of Adamā€™s death, saying that fentanyl was to blame.

ā€œYes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,ā€ the reality-show star said. ā€œTheĀ fentanyl crisisĀ in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.ā€

Fans, as well as some of Rickā€™s celebrity friends, were quick to share messages of condolence.

ā€œIā€™m so sorry man,ā€ wrote Donald Trumpā€™s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Adamā€™s brother, Corey Harrison, alsoĀ paid his tribute to his late sibling on Instagram, sharing an old baby photo of the two of them in a bath.

ā€œWax wtf I will always love you bubba,ā€ he captioned the image.

Adam was Rick Harrisonā€™s second child from his first marriage to Kim Harrison. Rick later went on to marry his second wife with whom he has son Jake.

While we saw Rick and Corey running theĀ Gold & Silver PawnĀ and appearing on the show, Adam was not as involved, although it has been reported that he did work with his father.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports overdose deaths, including synthetic opioids, raising 56.6% from January 2020 to 2021.

The Drug Enforcement Agency lists fentanyl as a Schedule II controlled substance ā€œthat is similar to morphine but about 100 times more potent.ā€ Depending on a personā€™s body, even two milligrams, which is less than a grain of salt, can be lethal.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the Harrison family.

Rest in peace, Adam.
